More than 83% of home buyers will begin their search for a new home online. This statistic makes pictures a key element in listing and marketing your home. In fact, in our experience, often buyers will not even consider looking at homes that do not have pictures. Listings with no or minimal pictures can leave a buyer feeling wary of what the homeowner and agent are hiding. This often translates to the buyer that the home must be in bad shape.
But are all pictures created equal? Absolutely not! Leading real estate agents will use a professional photograher to insure that your home is presented to its maximum potential. Professional photographers understand lighting, have the skill set to shoot rooms of all shapes and sizes and have invested in professional equipment such as a variety of lenses, cameras and a tripod. More often than not, real estate agents using professional photographers will also include a virtual tour in their marketing.
When interviewing agents, alway ask if they provide professional photography in their marketing. You don't want to leave your home in the dark.
Pictures can be worth a thousand words...or not.
